What is the purpose of implant restoration?
The dental implant, which is an artificial tooth root, isn’t the part of the false tooth that’s visible when you smile. The implant itself will lie within the jawbone. How do I care for an implant restoration?
As with any dental restoration, it’s important that you are gentle with it to prevent damage. While crowns are made from porcelain, which is an incredibly durable material, it can still be damaged (just like teeth can!). This is why you will want to avoid using your teeth as tools. Fortunately, cleaning your implant is fairly simple. You don’t have to treat it differently than the rest of your teeth. You can brush and floss it just like you normally would.
